When did you apply for maternity EI benefits? Could I still apply even though I just started a full time job in December? I was working part time somewhere else before accepting the new job though.

My baby is due May 1st, 2024. I’m not sure when I should start my application process, I don’t want to go on leave until April 1st, 2024.

Also, I was on maternity EI back in 2021. During that time they didn’t ask for any receipts or statements. It stated I didn’t need to upload any documents, I forget the specifics. I should be good for 2024 right? lol.
