My husband at work on my second job

My husband and I met at church right after we turned 15. We started dating shortly after and have been together ever since. 12 years, 3 kids, a beautiful home, and more love than we know what to do with.

I met my husband when I was 13, we dated til we graduated high school  and then we broke up for a while and got married right before I graduated co college and have been married for 6 years. 
During our time apart, I had gotten a job as a tech writer on a coast guard contract (I was 3rd party, not in USCG) and started dating a guy who also worked on that contract. He was 10 years older than me. He was very nice and we dated for about a year. During that time I actually asked him that we kept it secret til I came off the contract bc I didn’t think it would look very professional for a 20 and 30 year old to be dating, especially when he made 3x more than me and was in a higher position. I primarily worked w men so I didn’t want to get the wrap of “young bimbo dates older: wealthier senior colleagues” because at the time I lived on my own, paid my own way and really didn’t want anything interfering w my tech writing career. We kept our relationship 100% secret til I finished the contract, and then went public after. I then broke it off a few months later due to unrelated issues. 
You can date coworkers but you honestly have to be very mature and compartmentalize work you and personal you and who that person is to you. Years later, I was dismayed to find out that after breaking things off bc I did not want to move in w him and take things to the next level, he had spilled the beans to several old colleagues. Not that that matters now as I have a writing job I love w a different company but it does give me the ick to think a group of people think I was “getting around” as a younger adult in college, especially bc we had to go on several work trips that required hotel stays (which I did not go in or near his room the whole time) but people 10+ years my senior took that concept and ran w it.

I met my husband at work when I was 18 (almost 19) and he had just turned 25. I had no interest in him at first. We slowly became friends & the more we hung out, the more we realized how much we enjoyed each other. We dated for a year  & then broke it off - I left the job, he stayed & 4 years later we crossed paths again & the rest is history. We didn’t let our relationship interfere with work. We also didn’t really have a serious job, we worked at a restaurant 🤷🏻‍♀️. When we worked shifts together, we focused on the costumers & often hung out after work.

I met my bf through mutual friends but we did end up working together for a while. We just kept it professional, acted like coworkers. Our managers knew we were dating but didn’t really care as long as we didn’t act like it and just did our work
