Yes or no to room sharing

My 2 sons are little less then 13 months apart in age the oldest being 17 months and the youngest 4 months. (As of right now my oldest love the baby)

Right now they are in separate rooms but my husband and I are thinking about homeschooling/cyber schooling our kids and I was wondering what everyone thinks about having them share a room for bedtime and have the other room for school/toys? This will only be for an elementary school then they can get there own rooms and do their work in privacy.

Our reasons for thinking of this arrangement is keeping two boys focused for school and to have a place to keep toys to reduce fighting over who’s toys who in the future. But once they start showing independence and a need for privacy as they grow they get their own rooms back with a fresh new theme they can pick out.

I would like to also add our house is on the smaller side so we don’t have spare space for desk outside of there rooms… and to keep two young children on task I would like to be able to see both of them at same time we could use our dining table or the coffee table in the living room but as I said our house is smaller and avoiding projects with markers or paint on furniture would be great 😂
