What should I do ?

Hey guys I’ve been texting this guy since November. We were just friends at the moment just learning to get to know each other. But after January, we started talking on the more intimate level. so as of right now, we’re not boyfriend and girlfriend, but we somewhat date and have sexual activity every now and then. Today is Valentine’s Day. I don’t think he’s got a gift for me. I’m thinking about cutting him off and leaving him alone but some of my friends say I shouldn’t. How do I mention this to him and bring this to his attention? Should I feel obligated to get a gift? Am I wrong if I leave him alone ?
