Am i wrong for wanting to breakup with my bf of three years?
I dont feel like a priority or appreciated. Its been feeling one sided for the last six months and Ive talked to him about it and no changes have happend. I asked him months ago if he could take off for valentine's day but instead i found out three days before on superbowl Sunday he called off on superbowl sunday so he couldnt take off valentine's day. he said we can spend the day together the 13th instead and once he gets off work (14) we can make it a movie night . On the 13 he was late by three hours and once i get into the car he askes me where i want to go and then tells me that Im paying because he spent all his money on the half dozen of flowers. I give him his valentine'sday basket i made him , bought him dinner, gave him a back massage , filled up his gas tank just to get woken up on valentine's day to be told I was selfish for not making him breakfast. Once he got off work on valentine'sday he called me and said his cousins throwing a party and hes going after work. Where is the reciprocation?! I give and give and get nothing in return. Hes never made me a meal not even an egg for breakfast or a sandwich for lunch, i still have not recieved a christmas present over the years and he makes a lot more than me. Whenever i tell him how i feel its always the same things that he didnt notice how he treats me that hes going to do better.I dont think hes cheating i do think hes happy when i overly pour into him without giving the same in return. Am i an AH for wanting to breakup with him the day after valentine's day? **** thank you all for everything the advice i get from people around me just doesnt sit right with me, i shouldnt have to accept the bare minimum. Whenever i ask the woman around me they just say give him time but how much time does a man need ? Im exhausted. It was for a birthday party and her actual birthday is on the 18th.
