Never do this unless you absolutely have to

I have been dealing with I thought was a yeast infection. I used a different soap in my bath and ain’t been the same since. I have treated with diflican twice thinking it was a yeast infection. It has just gotten worse, like so much worse. It is so painful and itchy that I want to stick a wire brush up there and scratch. It itches that bad. I called my gyn and closest app is 2 weeks away. I can’t do that. I live next door to an urgent care so I go in and explain all of this, and she asked me if I had pain and I said yes. So because of that she was like “I’m just going to examine you and make sure there’s not any sores.”

So this is an urgent care, the tables are tiny, there wasn’t a speculum, and she’s checking all around in the crevices of my bits I can feel it, and then she said she wanted to check the inside and I’m so swollen down there that she couldn’t see inside so she had to ….uuuuuvghhh she had to like stretch it open and I’m like holding my breath bc this hurt SO bad. She said “it’s definitely swollen and very red and you have the textbook yeast discharge, but no sores.”

It’s not that it was awkward at all, I am not a shy person tbh at this point I didn’t give a flying donkey shit who looked down there as long as they were medically qualified to help me figure out what the fuck is wrong and fix it because I’m miserable.

But that hurt… soooo bad. Speculums are definitely your friend, man. I had a swab that tests for everything, yeast, bv, and every STI.

I think it’s BV bc it started with soap. It ended with being forked by an urgent care doctor like I was a cavern yet to be explored by human kind and I have only been sexually active with one man for 2 years. So if it’s an STI this will be a mur- totally different case but I’m highly doubtful of that.

I was really really desperate and want this to go away but man I 100% recommend a gynecologist who knows how to examine vaginas without hurting them. My poor vag skin. Never go to an urgent care for vagina help unless absolutely necessary.
