FTM 39 weeks & GBS+

So I am 39 weeks today, this is my first baby and I just left my doctors appt and an induction was mentioned. My original due date is March 4th. I asked my provider was induction medically necessary with me being GBS+ and she said it is not but she recommends it as I am already 2cm dilated & 70% effaced. I’ve heard all these horror stories about being induced so really I’m just scared and I kind of feel guilty like I’m forcing baby out when she’s not ready. Is it something I should do to help baby and myself? Or should I just wait in hopes to go into labor naturally? Induction would be right at 40 weeks.
