Bf lost his job

Idk what happened his communication skills aren’t the greatest. It’s like pulling teeth. But he’s been home for a couple of weeks and told me he was on vacation the first week. But now it’s the end of the second week and I asked him if he worked/had a job he told me no. I asked him when he was going to tell me about it and he didn’t respond. I do not want to return to work baby is 2 months and I’m breast feeding. Plus going back to my job barely covers the bills….im trying to be calm I haven’t said anything yet but I’m not ready to leave baby rn. And I don’t know how to handle this because his communication is so bad. He’s struggled for years in our relationship with communication especially important things. I just wonder if I made the right choice staying with him sometimes. Because we’re adults and this is ridiculous. We have a child, a family and we were counting on him. I feel he needs to find another job and soon. What should I do???
