Short cervix and spotting

Im 34 weeks pregnant and been told i have a short cervix and have been spotting pink/brown for a week now. They told me Wednesday my cervix was 2.5cm put me on progesterone and started having contractions yesterday pretty bad went to hospital they have me the shots to stop contractions said my cervix went up to 3.3cm that it will fluctuate. My contractions stopped somewhat but the spotting has not. I just want to see if anyone on here has went through the same thing or knows a little about what or why and can help me understand a little. Or direct me to a group or person that can. My doctor is so busy right now its hard to get through to him. I really dont want to go back to hospital either.
