Bf tells me you’re not going nowhere

Last night me and my bf were having a conversation about our relationship. Won’t go too far in detail. However, it had something to do with the moving in together . We slightly had a disagreement, and then he kept asking if I was okay . I said yes . He was saying things like “you know you’re my baby forever , & don’t ever forget” ( something he says all the time anyway) then followed up with “you’re not going nowhere “.

I don’t really take you’re not going nowhere a way to be honest . But in the past I have heard some women say that’s not okay for a man to say that to you , because it’s like he has power over you . What do you ladies think ????
