Is there a normal amount to have sex?

I’m a woman in my mid 20’s. Me and my partner have been together 3 years. We probably only had sex 3 or 4 times last year. We are happy together and it doesn’t bother us. I’m just curious how often people actually have sex. For us last time was beginning of March and the time before that was about 9 or 10 months prior. We show our love and appreciation for eachother in other ways such as small gifts, talking through feelings and cuddling. It works well for us. Is this anyone else’s experience?
