Do you live in an area where lawn or other pesticides are frequently applied?

If so, are you worried about your kids being outside during or soon after an application? My neighborhood uses a lot of professional pesticide companies to treat their lawns, spray for bugs, etc and I don’t always know when they’re applying. I worry about it drifting in the air and my kids being exposed.

I don’t worry about it much. In our area not many use the chemicals. However, if a yard is flagged as recently applied, we would stay away.
I grew up having my parents order the once a month yard spraying. Don’t know what kind of effects it has had directly on me. My dad had non-Hodgkin lymphoma which is now known to be a side effect of Monsanto’s Roundup. Sooooo, I would strongly urge everyone to stay away from using these chemicals. It’s not worth it. The weeds and dandelions won’t kill your. But the chemicals might, probably will.

Yes ....my house. Lol both back & front yard. Nobody is allowed in the grass for at least 24 hours after treatment.

No we moved way way out in a rural but when we lived in the city yes I did worry. I've seen fertilizers on lawns give chemical burns to kids and pets. Whenever our neighbor sprayed their yard/trees I'd get very I'll for a few days. My throat would be raw, it would hurt to breath, and I'd get horrific headaches. I hated it. Many have been linked to cancers and a lot of ingredients are very very toxic. They build up on soils and with rains and watering they get washed into waterways and water sources as well on other properties. They harm soil, animals, bugs, birds, pollinators, and in compact urban areas can impact neighboring plants/land, and the strive for green grass year round is a huge water waste. Read the book Lawn People and it gives a pretty deep insight on lawns and the harms the need for a perfect green lawn has created. Not a perfect book but a good read. We have (in my view) a beautiful yard and we use no chemicals and work with nature not try to kill what some deem issues. I can weed still and get rid of what I don't like without cancer causing products. Sorry for the lenght but this is a topic I've been passionate about for decades lol.
