My partner has a drinking problem and can’t see it!

We have a 3 week old daughter. For the past week he has been drinking everyday, some nights a bottle of wine, other nights a 4 pack of beer & some nights just 1 beer. He tried to justify it by saying it’s only the one, or his football team is playing, or he wants to just chill.

He’s an amazing dad and when he’s drinking it doesn’t stop him from helping out with our daughter but I just don’t like the fact he drinks every night. He clearly has a problem and can’t see it. He said he’s getting a 4 pack of beers for tonight and I finally plucked up the courage to tell him this was 8 nights in a row and it’s becoming ridiculous now but he said “it’s only beer, I’m not going out every night, atleast I’m in the house”.

I’m fed up, does he not thinking after 9 months I maybe want a drink, but I wouldn’t have us both drinking if our daughter is here.
