Was I wrong to ask my boyfriend to choose between me and his girl best friend

My boyfriend has two close friends, this girl who is his best friend and he's also great friends with her brother. Her name is Evelyn. I didn't have the biggest issues with Evelyn because before she wasn't really pretty. She had the potential to be pretty but she always dressed in ugly close. Had her hair in a messy bun.
