Would you stay or allow yourself…

My fiancé & I have been staying in & out of the hospital since birth with our son. (He’s 10 days old tomorrow) he’s been under the bilirubin light & the blanket off & on.. right now it marks 24 hours since he’s been under the light.

The nurse said we don’t have to stay the night & we’re free to come & go, but I feel guilty to leave him BUT I also feel like we need a good nights rest. I am a breastfeeding mama though but have been pumping during our hospital stays & topping up with formula when I don’t have extra breast milk.

Would you take the night “off” for rest or stay with your baby? 🥺 & would you be ok with ur baby being formula fed all night? or would u pump as much as u can before u leave & return early? idk. 😕 lol
