3yo spitting food out
I feel like I’m running out of options and patience. My 3yo for the last week or so has been chewing and spitting food out. It’s not a once in a while thing either. It’s. Every. Meal. Idk what to do. Idk what wrong. Idk if this is something I should make an appointment for. She’s told me twice she doesn’t want berries or granola bc she’s scared to choke. We cut up her berries so why it’s an issue for her now idk. I don’t think she’s gotten a real meal in, in the entire week. She’ll MAYBE take 2 bites. If she doesn’t spit the food out, she’ll hold it in her mouth for as long as possible. I feel like crying bc I just don’t know what to do. I’m so frustrated. We’re suspicious of her being lactose so we’ve been cutting dairy out of her diet in hopes maybe that’ll help but nothing. She still refuses to swallow. I ask her if her throat hurts or if her tummy hurts when she eats and she says no. She refuses to even eat her favorite foods like spaghetti or chicken nuggets. What do I do?
