Dating or Hooking Up?

I recently went on a date and then afterwards we hooked up. After we hooked up, I stayed the night and we cuddled. It was a good feeling bc I haven’t been held like that in a while.

Anyways, while cuddling he stated to me that he is my safety net and we can talk about anything, etc. During our date prior to hooking up, he was asking a lot of interpersonal questions, etc.

We had already arranged to hook up bc we have been sexting, etc. He stated during that period that he can treat me right, etc.

So rn, I’m just a little confused as to if this is just a “hook up” type of relationship or if he is interested in something more.

Btw, I am in my late 20s and he’s in his late 30s if age does matter.
