Pregnancy success after varicocle repair surgery!

Jessica

My husband had surgery for varicoceles in September ‘22 and by April ‘23 he finally had totally normal sperm. It continued improving and I finally conceived this April-one year later! I actually have one blocked tube so I think that made it take more time and interestingly enough I was 3 days out from a Fallopian Tube Recanalization procedure to unlock it when we found out I was pregnant! Hopefully this gives some women hope and I’m sure if I had both tubes fully functioning, it may have happened sooner. It’s fluctuated a bit but before surgery he started with less than 1 million sperm, 0-2% morph and very low motility like 5%. After surgery (and lifestyle changes) it’s somewhere around 150 million, 7-10% morph and 65-70% motility with high progressive motility and high quality dna (low dna frag). To anyone considering surgery, it’s definitely worth a shot! If you’re in Southern California, Dr. E with UCLA in Los Angeles for urology, is my recommendation!
