TW Possible SA ?
My kid's dad and I recently seperated.
My kid's dad has 3 other kids with his previous ex.
My kid and it's youngest sibling sleep in thesame bedroom.
our kid is almost 4yo, his kids are 12,15 and 18 yo.
Last week, my kid blurted out "I don't want to see your cunt!" (I was asking if he wanted to wear pj's or just pj pants or no pants at all, which is fine in our family) "Cunt" Is a word that my ex and I NEVER NEVER use or used even during sex or conversations about intimacy. In how our kid said it, he actually did mean vagina, because he said penis first, then I reminded him that I don't have a penis. (I did first think he was talking about himself because we were obviously having a conversation about his pj's)
-I called my ex to check if something had happened or someone said something because it was out of the ordinary and potentially sexual. (Which a 3yo shouldn't come in contact with)
Today he went to the potty and came running into my living room saying I need to put his penis in my mouth. I was like "excuse me, what did you say?" he repeated and I asked him why would I do that? and he said "I donno, to eat my penis" I told him I wouldn't do that and I asked him where he got that idea, but he totally shut down and ignored me until I changed the subject.
-I called my ex again because this was too much to ignore, it isn't normal for a 3yo to say such things.
They still have a video babyphone in the bedroom, I asked him to keep an eye on it. I told him very clearly that I don't want to accuse his kid but I don't know who else would have the opportunity to do or say things like that to our kid.
my kid does go to school, but with so many kids and teachers there, I would assume there isn't a lot of opportunity, yet I'm still going to ask the teacher if she's heard something like that.
Am I right to be concerned? Or is this a developmental thing?
@Kaela
We considered something like that as well, we're going to check the youngest's device.
The other 2 are very private with everything, I doubt they'd do anything like that in the proximity of anyone.
@Hiba
Thank you.
I talked to his teacher, she didn't recognize the language at all, she did direct me to the after school care because there's mixed ages so I'm going to ask them as well if maybe he might have overheard something. Because, and I quote, "He's a picker-upper" (he picks up and understands easily what other people are going on about)
