Missed Miscarriage

We had our 12 week scan (UK) today and found out that we had a missed miscarriage at 8w6d.

We are absolutely devastated.

We have a holiday booked this week and the sonographer advised to go away, see if anything happens naturally and if not, come back after the week away and discuss options.

I feel sick knowing I'm carrying around a fetus that's stopped growing, and have been for almost 4 weeks.

My body hasn't realised and maternity clothes are the only thing that fits me, but the last thing I want to see right now as they are a reminder of what's happened.

It's my son's birthday next week and he's so excited for holiday, the beach and his birthday and we're struggling through this.
