3-Year Itch

Megan

Update: I put in the comments that I did wind up starting my period but it was super weird. Not normal for me at all. I normally spot the first day and then the second day is super heavy. It tapers off slowly throughout the day, slows down from light flow to spotting by the end of the third day then I spot on and off on the fourth day and it’s completely done by the fifth day. Other than some really weird abdominal and rectal pressure the first two days were normal but it had slowed all the way down to spotting by the third day, picked back up to just under a light flow on the fourth day and the blood was brown. I’m now on my fifth day, it’s no heavier than spotting and it’s still brown. I have a GYN appointment on the 27th of this month and I’m really hoping to get some answers.

Hubby had a vasectomy 3 years ago in July. Never went back to make sure the count went to 0. At first, struggled to accept that we weren’t having any more (We have 3 beautiful babies. An 11-year-old daughter and two boys, 8 and 5) but eventually got to a place where I was ok.

Past few months I have found myself praying for God to bless us with another. Have had typical PMS symptoms every month and have never had a reason to suspect I might be pregnant. THIS month, I’ve been receiving TONS of signs!

Sore breasts for at least the past week, a racing heart, mild cramping, and Montgomery Tubercles, and with very little effort, I managed to squeeze a small amount of fluid out of one of my nipples. I’m roughly 5 to 6 days from AF and I’m petrified to test. I want this so bad. It’s killing me to think of AF starting or eventually breaking down and testing and seeing a BFN! I plan to wait until I’m a few days late or wake up one morning and start inexplicably throwing up (I had terrible morning sickness early on with all 3).

I want to hear y’all’s stories about either yourself or someone you know who’s gotten pregnant with a failed vasectomy. I need some encouragement. Thanks. Promise to update you as the situation progresses.
