can I request a mole be removed

I just had a new one show up that looks different than any of the other ones I have, it’s reddish and all the other ones I have are like light brown so I already made an appointment with a dermatologist to get it checked out. I feel like they’re going to tell me that it’s normal and just leave it but I want it removed anyway because 1. I’ll just keep worrying about it and 2. I just think it’s ugly and I hate changes to my body. I’m used to the few ones I have had for years. Can i request to get it removed even if they think it’s normal? will they agree to remove it? I’m just scared of going and them telling me they won’t remove it
