Does this look like the beginnings of teething?

My girl still doesn’t have any teeth, her 8 months is the 27th. My husband thinks this looks like teething but I feel like if anything it’s the very beginning and nowhere close to teeth coming. Lol

Not quite. The gums will get red and swollen first. Then a little slit will appear. Then a tooth will poke through. 
The teeth can sit under the gums like that for months before teeth erupt. 
It’s perfectly normal for no teeth at almost 8m.
