Should I continue trying to make plans with my brother if I’m the only one making an effort?
My brother lives in a different state and travels a lot for work. He comes back to our hometown 4-5 times/year. He’s 32 and has no girlfriend or family of his own yet. Starting a few years ago when I had my first baby, I was left out of the loop about when he’s coming home. He stays at our parents house when he’s here. The first few times this happened, I found out he was in town the day he got home and I scrambled to put together a plan to see him and get the whole family together, only to find out they had multiple plans made already bc everyone knew about his visit. When I do see him, he doesn’t ask anything about me or my family, he talks about his travels, hobbies, etc. and it’s honestly a little exhausting for me to listen to for hours.
He’s back in town and told me last night. He leaves tomorrow. Should I try to make plans again? I feel kind of silly at this point.
