Is this normal at 5-6 weeks pregnant?
(TW Threatened Miscarriage)
Hey guys!
I found out I am pregnant last week, on the 1st. On Friday, August 2, my blood showed my hcg levels were approximately 241. I got my hcg retested about four days ago, and it showed it had climbed to about 750.
I went to my appointment yesterday to get it tested again, and it had dropped down into the 600s by 91 points. At the ER they marked me as a threatened miscarriage.
I have been spotting for the last four days really lightly, not enough to saturate a pad, no blood clots, but very teeny tiny bits of tissue.
The ER on Monday said it was most likely implantation bleeding, and it was nothing to worry about. I have my first ultrasound in September, and im worried my little chocolate chip won’t make it through August.
Last night, I was cramping primarily on my right side of my lower abdomen and it radiated down my thigh. But this is the first painful episode I have had. I thought maybe the exam and the swab irritated my cervix? I also have Vaginitis and currently being treated for it, but no symptoms at this time.
I was told that I have an ovarian cyst there, and perhaps it was just irritated? I’m not sure.
I ate my food within five minutes, I was so hungry, that’s when the pain kicked in. I found I was also super gassy during this episode so I thought maybe it was just that i ate wayy too fast.
It only lasted an hour and I haven’t cramped since last night around 6pm.
Does anyone have any advice for me?
Do I have a right to panic? Should I just listen to my SIL when she says “bleeding and cramping is normal just look out for the golf ball sized clots.” ?
Any advice or wisdom is greatly appreciated! ❤️
