My boyfriend wants to remain a secret for now

So my boyfriend and I have been dating for 6 months, and we work together. Well, for 6 months, we have stayed a secret. There’s only a handful of people who know that we are dating. But he wants to remain a secret for now. Every time we have this conversation, he just says he doesn’t want the drama of dating in the workplace, and with time we will tell people, but it’s been 6 months. I’m ready for people to know because it does make it hard. I don’t know what to do, and why this is an issue 😞
