First dental x-rays
My child’s dentist has been pushing x-rays since she was four years old. Her teeth are entirely normal, we keep her mouth clean, and she hasn’t had any cavities. She hasn’t lost any baby teeth yet either. We’ve been delaying x-rays for a couple of years, but I know they are going to push us hard at her next appointment. They got pretty upset when I delayed last year.
When did your child get their first dental x-rays? If there are any dental professionals in this group, why would she need x-rays at this age if her mouth is normal and she’s going to lose all her baby teeth anyways? I know the radiation is minimal, but I prefer to avoid if it’s not necessary.
