Have grandparents over to watch child get on bus first day of school, or no?

Mom texted, “Wish we could see her get on the bus tomorrow” and I said the morning will likely be hectic but they’re welcome to come the second or third day of school.

My husband and I wanted to enjoy the moment as a family because my mother tends to talk a lot about anything other than what’s going on in that moment, and it really distracts us. Love her and happy to have her join but maybe just not the first day. Also, as I told my mom, I know the morning will be quite hectic as it is. Can’t help but feel a little bad though. What would you do?
