Would you homeschool your children for these reasons?

1. The school district you live in is horrible. And I mean absolutely terrifying. I went to this school and I ended up dropping out because of how bad I was bullied. There’s gangs. Fights. Violents. It’s a horrible school district and I cannot switch schools because the rules are I live in the district so my children need to go to these schools.

2. The teachers are known to be racist and my kids are mixed.

3. I have a terrible fear of school shootings

Homeschooling would be forever. I plan to move states in a few years. And if my kids get old enough where THEY want to go to public school I would 100% let them.

I personally plan to homeschool my kids (when they’re older) because the district we live in currently is awful. The academics are way below average & they get multiple bomb threats every year. They also have way too big of a student to teacher ratio in my opinion (30+ kids per teacher). Plus, my oldest son is Autistic & I know this particular school isn’t great with children with disabilities. I know “shootings can happen anywhere,” but considering the fact that this school gets threats regularly, I’d rather wait until we are in a better school district. You have to make the best decision for your kids!

Personally for me, when my kids come to age I probably will homeschool, there’s too much chaos going on and things I don’t want my kids to learn about yet

You can get an interdistrict transfer. I did it with my daughter. My mom did this with me and my siblings.

See if there’s a charter or private school that you can put your child in, I personally feel like socialization without being around family is very important for child growth for the future and with becoming their own person as well.
