Chance of twins?

So my husband and I are starting to plan for baby #2 and my brain can’t get the prospect of twins out of my brain. For our first I found out that I had 2 gestational sacs but only one embryo and if I’m not mistaken I believe that is what vanishing twin is? Has anyone else had this and then gone on to have a singleton pregnancy? What are my chances of having twins or am I just being paranoid? 😅

The chances of twins are generally lower in general. It's not very common even if you have had twins before.

My friend had fraternal twins (boy and girl) and then a singleton pregnancy 3 years later. 
Fraternal twins tend to have a genetic component because the woman releases 2 eggs at once. Identical twins is complete random chance regardless of fraternal twins being in the family. 
I think your chances are just as good as everyone else tbh
