??wait until late ovulation to increase chances of a boy?

So my MIL says to wait until later in ovulation to try to conceive to increase chances of a boy. She has 3 girls and then a boy and said this is how she got a boy. We have 2 girls and would love a boy as our third and last, but I’ve never heard this? Anyone hear this or have experience?

I know im late to reply, but decided i would anyway. My sister had 5 girls and desperately wanted a boy. She heard of this method, she had intercourse when she was ovulating, not a day or 2 before. She did finally have a boy. Can we be positive that method is effective and was the reason she conceived? No. Definitely not. Does she believe it was the reason? Yes, very much. You do with that information as you please. Either way i hope everything works out in your best interest. Good luck!

It is a wives tales however I got pregnant with a boy late in my ovulation and just a couple days before my “period” started, it turned out it was implantation spotting

It’s a wives tale; however it has been said but not scientifically proven that female sperm live longer and swim slower so they say DTD earlier in O window could possibly result in a girl.
Male sperm however swim faster and don’t thrive as long, so it’s said if you DTD later in your O window you could possibly have a boy. Again, not scientifically proven and what your MIL is saying is not 100% accurate, so much science goes into creation of life. But if you’re DTD later your chance of a boy could be Huber because they’re agile.
