I need advice w a very gentle issue ladies

I got married and we just found out one of the kids in the family are being molested, on an on going basis. I couldn’t sleep last night! I’m thinking of Emergency room pediatrician since the child just turned 7 (female) or just go straight to the police station.

I don’t have kids of my own so this is a nightmare for me. What can really happen in short notice? And what should be our first step? Of course one of the parents is here with me crying. I just need some words of encouragement please.

We found her humping plushy toys 🤦🏻‍♀️ and that’s how the conversation started. We’ve known for about a year that this is something that happening a lot and plushies are basically being used in this matter.
