I just got tested positive for HSV 1

I went to urgent care bc i thought i had a yeast infection coming on. I get a lot of chafing down there (from excessive sweating and from exercise) anyways the doctor swab it and the results just came back for HSV 1

And I’m terrified and scared and to embarrass to bring this up to friends and family.

I’m waiting for a phone call from the doctor.

I saw that it’s common for people who gets cold sore and i don’t get cold sores i usually get cranker sores when I’m sick or ate to much spicy.

The doctor swab down there next to my vagina does that mean it’s genital hsv1?!

I’m scared.
