Clinic or Mom?

So about two months ago I went to the clinic because I was having so abnormal symptoms and they told me I had vaginitis. Recently it came back and my mom wants me to take some Monistat (yeast infection medication) but I don't really agree because its bacteria not yeast. Ugh some advice please!  Should I go back to the doctor and ask to be prescribed or what?

I would go back to the doctors and be prescribed something specifically for the condition :) taking something that doesn't treat what u actually have wont make the problem go away

DON'T TAKE MONISTAT WITHOUT SEEING A DOCTOR FIRST. My mom had the same mindset and when I described my symptoms to her, she said I had a yeast infection and took me to buy the treatment. Within 30 seconds of me using the cream, I started to experience the worst burning sensation I've ever felt. I could barely walk and was almost in tears, and had to shower to get rid of it. Bottom line, get a professional's opinion because you never know how you'll react to a medication.
