Sugar free recipes
So a family friend of ours (we call him grandpa) is 87 and LOVES sweets… sadly we found out he has cancer and he is in the process of chemo they gave him about 6-8 months… they told him it can help to prolong his life if he doesn’t eat regular sugar… i did some research and I found out honey might be a good alternative? I absolutely love to cook so I have been trying to find some sugar free dessert options for him.. (plus my boyfriends mom is diabetic so that will be nice for her to get some treats as well)
I make a French bread recipe a lot but it calls for sugar I was gonna see if honey works in the recipe? my family always made rice pudding for Christmas and that will be easy to substitute sugar for honey… I am planning on making some of my usual recipes with honey but i am running out of ideas do you guys have any sugar free desserts or sugar substitute ideas? I would absolutely love to provide grandpa with some “sweats” especially if these are his last few months with us..
Thank you guys so much for your advice! I will definitely give your suggestions a try..
My personal opinion i would just eat whatever the hell I wanted for my last 6 months..However this one isn’t my choice but I can at least try to help him have good food with his dietary choices/restrictions in mind..
