Advice
Seeking genuine advice. I’m not happy with my husband. We’ve been married since last May 2023, moved in with his family. His parents, and two sisters. One sister has mental health issues (bipolar). I had problems from the get go, where comments were made regarding my skin tone and how I’d behave by his mum and dad. My husband never backed me up or supported me. I got pregnant and now 12 weeks postpartum and very unhappy with my partner. I finally left his family’s home due to the verbal abuse from his sister. My question is how do people build the courage to dump someone who isn’t physically abusive but doesn’t support you as a partner and prioritises his family over yourself. I feel like a nobody to him. After leaving his parents home, I’m at my mums and have been here for the past 4 weeks. I’m sick of being spoken to like shit. Especially when I’m taking care of twins. My parents are not so supportive of me leaving my marriage as my mum believes no one will love my children as their father would. My mum said I’m not allowed to end this marriage and have to stick by it. I am Pakistani which is the why she expects me to continue to be with him. I feel so drained out by chasing someone who doesn’t love or respect me. If he loved our children in the least bit he would have some respect for their mother. His family never gave me my space. His mum always moved my stuff around even in my baby room. So now that I’ve gone, she must be playing Barbie with my stuff lmao. He was packing kids stuff to bring to my mums, and I said I’m not surprised that the baby room is looking like that and he started shouting as he knew I was referring to his mother. I’m tired and drained. Being a twin single mum is hard. He wants me to stay at my mums till April to when he is hoping to get a house.
I want to hear some words of advice/wisdomnxxxx :(
