DPO Meaning? Ovulation confusion?

I’m new to trying to conceive. What’s DPO mean? Also, can you have a period and not ovulate? I may have misread my ovulation strips but I don’t think I ovulated this month in October even though I had a period late September before my wedding on the first.

Dpo means days past ovulation,and yes u can ovulate without getting a period .as far as ovulation tests goes it’s positive when the test line is as dark as the control line and peak is when tests line is way darker than control line ,negatives are faint

Ovulation is what triggers your period roughly 2 weeks after. Opks don't confirm ovulation and you can miss your first surge.
