Car seat/ stroller

So I am working on collecting what we need for baby… a car seat and stroller are on the list…

While I absolutely love the idea of the car seats that turn to you… I am not sure if I could trust it in case of an accident…

So I am down to either a car seat that goes with the stroller or a 4 in 1 car seat (I’m not sure what they call them but it is the one that is rear facing, then front facing, then a 5 point, then a booster seat? I think it is a convertible car seat??) do you guys know if they have a 4 in 1 car seat that is compatible with a stroller? Or is that even a thing?

I have no idea if this is accurate but I feel like the stroller would be in use about 20% - 30% of the time when we are out? I personally love the idea of using a baby carrier most of the time instead of the stroller but we will see what the baby likes… Because of that though I think a car seat that will last for years and grows with the baby might be a smarter purchase for us? What one did you like better? What is safer?
