Controlling partner

I told my bf I was going to a concert in which I kept getting call after call from him really pissed saying I couldn’t go, I lived under his roof so I had to listen to him and if I went he was going to leave work to go find me. All this really freaked me out and I’ve been feeling scared ever since. He’s becoming more and more controlling but I’m scared to leave I have 2 little ones 4 yr old and a 1 1/2 yr old. How would i be able to afford anything by myself. Single mothers pls help any tips on how I can become independent from him.
