Implantation happens between 6dpo and 12dpo and then you need 2 to 3 days for hcg to build up enough for a test. Which means you could have a positive pregnancy test anywhere between 8dpo and 15dpo. Most commonly implantation happens between 8dpo and 10dpo which would mean that most commonly you should have a positive pregnancy test between 10dpo and 12dpo.

Answer

You should wait to test till 14 days after ovulation. Anything before that could be unreliable. You could get false negatives which are discouraging and negatively affect mental health. And you may get a positive but then it turns chemical and now you’re even more hurt and discouraged.
