hpv positive while ttc

so let me back up. my boyfriend and i have been talking about trying to have a baby for a while. One morning he looked at me and said “make the appointment to get your iud out” and i’ve never grabbed my phone so fast.

I was seen 10/30/24 to have my iud removed. has no bleeding so we started trying right away. it’s now 11/15/24 and i’ve went through 20 ovulation test just to try and see when i could possibly be ovulating, also mind you my cycle still hasn’t gotten back to normal and that’s probably due to the fact that i’ve been on and off iuds for about 10 years and they also stop my period.

well today i received a phone call from the doctor that removed my iud telling me that they tested me for hpv and it came back positive as well as my cells were abnormal and were linked to the pre/cancer strains. they are sending me for testing on 11/21/24 to find out more.

i know we haven’t been trying long but having negative after negative ovulation test this makes it that much more discouraging. we’ve decided to stop until we see what the doctor has to say..
