Boyfriend and I haven't spoken in 5 days

I've been trying to give my boyfriend some space but we haven't spoken in 5 days. His brother who just turned 20 tried kill himself before Christmas and ended up hospitalized. He lives with my boyfriend and my boyfriend has had full custody of him since he was 14. I know he got released the 29th but I haven't heard from my boyfriend since the 28th. I know they're back home. How much longer should I wait to reach out?
