Signs he might be abusive or just wrong?

Tonight me and my boyfriend noticed the fridge was full of ice so he sat there scrapping the ice out. He gave up and I asked if I could do it and he told me that I couldn’t. I live here this is my fridge too… so I told him that I could do it and kept on asking for the knife he had in his hand. He got mad and picked up a part of the fridge and threw it against the wall slammed the cabinet drawers and started screaming at me all because I asked if I could do it and wouldn’t stop. I was terrified of him. Not just because he did that but because it was like I was watching my father. My father hit ME a lot growing up and was super abusive but he also slammed doors through remotes salt shakers as ways to scare me. I just don’t know if maybe my boyfriend could potentially be abusive in the future and he will end up throwing things at me instead of the wall or if I’m just overreacting. He’s never acted like this and we’ve been together for two years but it really upset me tonight.
