How long does it take to get back blood work?

In the uk if u go for a blood test to check for pregnancy how long does it take to get back? And how are the results shown is it by paper or phone ?

It's not standard practice to do a blood test to check for pregnancy, peeing on a stick test is usually considered accurate enough. 
You'll have blood drawn during pregnancy at around 10/13 weeks for standard blood work checking for diseases and other things and the results are usually in less than a week.
