Could it be twins?

Nancy-Jane

Hello Glow community,

Let me start by saying this is just for fun and obviously I will get my real answer in a couple of weeks when I go to have my dating ultrasound but in the meantime I’m looking for feedback from you guys if you agree it could be twins.

This is my third pregnancy I have two beautiful girls 6yrs and 2yrs I have a very regular 29 day cycle and I know exactly when I ovulate as I tend to get more pain during ovulation than I do during my actual period. I am 37yrs old and I know I often ovulate from both sides this last cycle I definitely ovulated in my right side and I felt like I also ovulated on my left but I could be wrong.

With both my previous pregnancies I knew I was pregnant before my missed period but didn’t have any really compelling symptoms until the 6 week mark when I get slammed with 24hr a day morning sickness that lasts for the whole rest of the pregnancy. This time around I was displaying symptoms of pregnancy from 3w pregnant I didn’t have a positive result on a test but already I was having aversions to smells and struggling with excess saliva and nausea. By the time I hit 4wks and went to the doctor to have my first blood test done I had all day nausea some vomiting, more smell aversions, some food aversions insomnia really messed up dreams my breasts started leaking everyday and now at 4w5d I have the worst mood swings I’ve ever experienced in my life in the space of 1 hour I burst into uncontrollable crying 5 times full on rage 4 times, hysterical laughing twice, sobbing 3 times and just complete overwhelm in between.

My doctor has advised that showing symptoms so strongly before a missed period may be a sign of a multi pregnancy my HCG result at 4Wks was 170 which is perfectly normal for either a singleton or a multi pregnancy.

I’d love some thoughts or feedback from anyone that has either experienced similar experiences and gone on to have 1 baby or if you have had twins and how you felt early on.
