Is it just the birth control?

Heyyy guys, so I recently got the implant (nexplanon). I got it on January 2, 5-6 days before my period was supposed to come. They did a urine test it was negative. On top of the implant I was on the pill before, so my doctor told me I can keep taking it until the nexplanon started working which would’ve been 2 weeks. Same day I got my nexplanon I had sex(I’m still taking the pill). It was unprotected sex. Jan 7 comes and I didn’t get my period. I still haven’t gotten my period. I’ve been 16 days late. I took a test on January 17, it was negative. Am
I in the clear or should I test again ?

i got mine in Nov (decided i’m going to be getting it removed) although I experienced pretty much the exact same situation except I wasn’t taking birth control, I had unprotected sex after 5 days when they said to wait at least 7, I was supposed to get my period on day 7 and it never came until almost a month later (end of dec) and it was literally just spotting, so little that i only had to use light size tampons so I got a test & it was negative. If you were taking your birth control consistently while waiting for nexplanon to kick in you should be fine. If you are really worried definitely take a test but in my experience it was completely fine and I wasn’t on birth control beforehand
