When should I take a test?

My periods are irregular so idk when I would be getting my period. My cycles are usually 38 days and today makes it CD 29. I had unprotected sex on the 4th and my last period was on December 31st.

If the last time you had sex was the 4th a test is definitely accurate so you can take a test and see if you are pregnant.
