Struggling with Breastfeeding – Need Advice and Support
Hi everyone,
I’m a first-time mom to a beautiful 3-month-old baby boy, and I’m reaching out because I’ve been struggling with breastfeeding and feeling really overwhelmed. I love the bond that breastfeeding creates, but lately, I’ve been questioning whether I’m doing it right or if my baby is getting enough milk.
My little one feeds about 5-6 times a day, but he often seems cranky afterward, which makes me wonder if he’s still hungry. I’ve tried pumping to gauge my supply, and I get a little less than 4 ounces (about 110 mL) per session, but most of the milk comes from just one breast—the other barely produces anything. I’m worried that my supply might not be enough for him, and I’m starting to feel like giving up breastfeeding altogether.
I’m posting here as one last attempt to figure out if I’m on the right track or if there’s something I need to change. Has anyone else experienced this? How do you know if your baby is getting enough milk? Should I be concerned about the uneven supply between my breasts? Any tips or encouragement would mean the world to me right now.
Thank you so much in advance for your help and support. 💕
