Ex friend and this new guy

I really didn’t want to make a post bout this. So I’ll try to keep it simple and straightforward. This guy has been trying to date me for the last couple of years. One reason why I won’t. It’s because he’s friends w this girl who was my bestie. She did me wrong and continued to try to cross me years later. He thinks I’m being unfair.

I will add he’s only friends w her thru his buddy that’s dating her.

Am I over reacting???
