Ladies please clarify this for me….

So I been talking to a guy now for weeks it’s been getting kind of serious and even been discussing meeting up, etc….and yesterday out of nowhere he offers me some money (he knows my situation and that I’ve kind of been struggling on my own, I’m a mom of 6) mind you- I have never accepted money from a guy before nor have I ever been offered money….i was actually taken aback and felt kind of good that someone would offer to do something nice for me….i did tell him he didn’t have to. But ofc I accepted….tell me why this dude I has gone cold, distant and never sent me anything….like why bother even offering?! And then after I told him he didn’t have to he insisted? What is this fake chivalry? Fake generosity? I get that this was probably some sort of test….but really? I find it extremely corny…..what are your thoughts….
